Magma Digital always encourages its staff to take part in public speaking, as contributing to the transfer of knowledge in our communities is very important to us. This is why we are thrilled to share the news that Steph’s debut as an invited speaker is coming up at WordCamp Conference in Manchester on the 28th June. Please join us in wishing Steph the best of luck for her maiden public speaking appearance!
WordCamp Manchester is a locally organised conference with a particular focus on WordPress, the content management system that powers over 75 million web sites. WordCamps are informal, community organised events that are put together by everyone from casual WordPress users to core developers. The aim of the conference is to encourage attendees to participate, network and share ideas.
Over the same weekend Jeremy has an international trip to the Dutch PHP Conference in Amsterdam. The conference is aimed at PHP developers of all levels, as well as software architects and managers. Beginners will find plenty of talks that will empower them to become better developers, while more experienced developers will be inspired by the talks focusing on new tools and technologies.
Jeremy will be delivering two tutorial sessions, one on Ansible and another on Testing with Codeception. He will also be presenting a talk on Ansible entitled “Orchestrate Your Infrastructure.” The presentation explains the relevance of this relatively new configuration management system to the PHP programming language.
Make sure you are following us on Twitter so we can let you know how the Magma duo get on at their respective conferences and if you are attending either of these events please keep an eye out for Steph and Jeremy!
