Over the last few months Magma Digital has evolved quite considerably, both in size and structure. We have taken time to analyse our clients’ needs and our own development, as we wanted to understand how best to ensure that we meet these requirements through the services we offer.
The team at Magma has taken a new shape as we have embarked on a long-term growth plan and have focused on developing our skill sets as much as on increasing the headcount. Initially, our main focus was to secure more Web Developers and Senior Developers, to ensure our capability and capacity to deliver on large scale projects for organisations of all sizes. We have been very fortunate to secure the employment of several excellent Developers over the passing few months and we have an increasingly strong development team under the direct leadership of Senior Developers and the Technical Director.
Alongside the developer team, we have recently invested in our design team by employing another Designer who has settled into Magma over the last few weeks. Our capacity to deliver even more first class design work, alongside our main service offerings of software development has increased our ability to meet clients varying requirements and is an exciting area of growth for Magma.
Perhaps our biggest change of late, is our decision to create a Project Management Office (PMO). Many of our clients comment on how much they benefit from the essential and dedicated input that is provided by a Project Manager. Our Project Managers are focused on the disciplines of: planning, organising, motivating, and controlling the companies resources assigned to specific projects and project goals.
The growing PMO at Magma Digital is delighted to welcome its latest addition, Colette Weston. Colette has recently joined Magma as a Project Manager and will work very closely with the Web Developers and Designers. The main function of our new PMO is to ensure that our clients requirements are understood, remain relevant throughout the agile project process and that appropriate control and flexibility are handled in regards to resources. One of the main areas of focus for the Project Managers will be quality assurance and ensuring that our clients report an excellent experience throughout their project.
Colette joins the team as a Project Manager, at an exciting time for Magma as we continue to grow and develop. We are delighted to have her on-board and are looking forward to developing the project management aspects of our work with clients.
