PHP Benelux, will we see you there?
As many of you may already know, Magma Digital strongly believes in supporting the web community and promoting best practice within our wider industry. That’s why we are pleased our Managing Director, Jeremy Coates, has been selected as one of the speakers for PHP Benelux 2012 which takes place next week. The conference helps developers from around the world discover the latest techniques and innovations in PHP and internet developement.
Jeremy’s talk, ‘An introduction to Phing the PHP build system’, will help developers gain an insight into the Phing build system for PHP, why and how you might use it along with where it sits with related tools such as PHPUnit, PHP Code Sniffer, PHP Mess Detector etc.
Here at Magma Digital, we use Phing as part of our Continuous Integration (CI) set up. We use Phing as the glue that holds the PHP analysis tools together for the Jenkins CI Server. For us, Phing takes the potential pain out of deploying code by helping us to automate code analysis.
In addition to Jeremy attending the conference Priscilla Coates, our Director of Transformation Management, will be there to represent PHP North West. The two conferences have a history of exchanging attendees by offering ticket prizes for each others conferences. This also extends to exchanging through representatives of each group to help promote the conferences and benefit the wider PHP community.
All the team at Magma would like to wish Jeremy and Priscilla a safe flight and good luck to Jeremy with his talk!
