Case Studies
What is a case study?
A case study provides a slightly more in-depth insight into how we work with our clients.
A case study is a story that tells you: what the problem was that the client had, what solution we provided, what the key features of the solution were and most importantly the key benefit for the client.
Feel free to take a moment to browse through some of our case studies:

The project was complex and sat under the watchful gaze of the general public and central Government.

Case study – Back office and website – (disaster analysis)
Problem: The client needed their project to be analysed and understood so that they knew what the current project state was and what was required to get the project back under control.
Solution: The project was now running 6 months behind schedule and had no clear end in sight. Magma Digital reviewed the current state of the project and provided the client with a clear, itemised specification of what was needed to complete the project, resulting in a fully functional website and back office system with a modern design.
Solution Key Features: Magma Digital carried out an in-depth analysis of the current state of the project, liaising with current developers and the customer. We then pulled together a clear and itemised specification avoiding jargon so that the customer truly understood where their project was up to and knew what was left outstanding.
Solution Key Benefits: The customer gained control over the project, they understood fully what had been achieved and what was left outstanding. The customer knew what options and alternatives were open to them to complete or move forward the project. The budget and time scale required for the project was now fully understood and the customer was empowered to make the right decisions for their business and project.
Case Study – GP Health Centre Business Case – (project completion)
Problem: A local Primary Care Trust needed support to complete a business case that had been started but not finished.
Solution: We determined what work still needed to be completed. We then delegated specific reasearch and data collection tasks within the PCT and to our project manager. Once the data was collected, the project manager used the data to write the business case on time and to the level of quality required to gain approval from the Strategic Health Authority (SHA).
Solution Key Features: We took time to understand the current situation the client found themselves in. We delegated tasks and research to the knowledge experts. We took all the data collected and wrote high quality content for the business case to a standard required by the (SHA). We completed this project on time and met the deadline required.
Solution Key Benefits: The PCT were able to hand over the project management to a trusted pair of hands that delivered the business case on time. The quality of the content provided within the business case was of such a high standard that the business case was approved first time. The business case was approved and within 12 months the health centre was built.

Solution: We met with the client and chatted through their website and took time to fully understood their requirements. We could have then simply built them another website. But we didn’t do that. Instead, we spent time going through their business goals and business processes to fully understand why they were not happy and how their new website would help their business to be even more successful.
