PHP North East 2014 – Reflection

Last Tuesday all of the Magma Developers and Project Managers made the trek up to Newcastle for the annual PHP North East (PHPNE) conference. We want to take this opportunity to thank the organisers for all the hard work they put into organising the conference, it definitely paid off!

Having had a week now to reflect upon the conference, we decided to ask some of our team what their favourite talk was and what they learnt that they will be implementing in their work/lives. You can read what they had to say below:

Looking Forwards

As you will be able to tell from the quotes, the insights from the talks at the conference will add real benefit to the day-to-day work of the Developers and Project Managers. Moreover, it was great to meet members of the PHP community from the North-East and it was a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional development for everyone who attended.

At the forefront of our minds now is the PHP North West 2014 (PHPNW 2014) Conference that Magma Digital helps to organise every year. It has now been announced that it will take place from the 3rd to the 5th October, starting with a tutorial day on the Friday and then the conference over the Saturday and Sunday. PHPNW 2014 will be held in the Manchester Conference Centre. Watch this space for updates!
